Geographical and Climate
Sibolga is located on the West coast of North Sumatra, as far as 344 km from Medan City, by road to the South. The city is located on the Gulf coast Tapian Nauli facing towards sea Indies. Geographically located between 1:42 to 1:46 and LU 98.44 - 98.48 BT. Form aft of the City of North to South following the coastline, where the east consists of mountains, sea and in the West. The width of the city which is the distance from the coastline to the mountains is very narrow only 500 meters, itupun have a pile on the sea and the foot of the mountain which made housing.
The area of the administration of the whole 3536 ha (35.36 Km2), which consists of:
- Mainland Sumatra island: 1126.67 Ha
- The islands (5 pieces): 238.32 Ha
- Ocean: 2171.01 Ha
Boundaries of the city consists of:
- North: Central Tapanuli
- East: Central Tapanuli
- Southern: Tapanuli Central
- Western: Samudera Indonesia
