Sibolga Arts and Culture

Sibolga is berbilang the city, this label is not just a mere slogan, the city is composed of various ethnic, which has a wealth of diverse cultures.

Recorded approximately 11 (eleven) tribe who lived in Sibolga. As one of the city located on the coast, coastal culture is the most dominating.

Diverse arts and cultural activities to this day still maintained. Among them, such as:

Art Sikambang coastal communities, an art that combines music, dance, singing, rhymes of the most popular in Sibolga, sikambang art is usually displayed at the wedding ceremony, reception, and major holidays.

Mangure Lawik, a cultural event held as a token of gratitude and offer up prayers for the preservation of the sea, while fishermen will be fishing memulaimusim, diverse cultural events presented in this activity.

Tor-Tor Dance hobo community, is a typical dance Batak society is used in wedding ceremonies, funeral rites, and other customary events.
