Sibolga

Sibolga is a small town which is located in North Sumatera, Indonesia. The population is from various ethnic groups and religion. That’s why it is called is “kota berbilang kaum”. It belongs to North Sumatera province.

Historical buildings and monuments

Sibolga has many interesting places. One of them I’m going to tell you is “Tangga 100”. From it is name you might think it has 100 stairs, but it is wrong. Because actually it has more than 200 stairs. “tangga 100” also becomes various a place of sports activities for the local people and those from out of town. On top of the stairs you can see cottages where you can sit and enjoy the view of the whole town. If you are there in the afternoon you can also see the beautiful sunset from the top and the town’s like in the evening. Besides the cottages, you can also find many small shops selling drinks. When you feel thirsty and hungry after climbing the stairs. You can buy drinks or snacks there.

Products

The income of the society is quite good. Because few of the people are unemployed. Most of the people work as fishermen. But many of them work in other fields, such as civil servants, private employees, and many others.
One of the most popular products from Sibolga it is salty fish. Because from it is made fish which salty to get fresh fish, not from rotten fish.
